With a career spanning over three decades in the construction industry, I founded WS Staff to bring together my expertise in carpentry, extensions, loft conversions, and complete refurbishments. My journey began as an apprentice for a general building company in the Welland Valley, where I worked on renovations and extensions for residential and agricultural buildings.

I then gained experience with WW Brown, focusing on the maintenance and renovation of commercial buildings, including schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. This early foundation gave me a strong understanding of both traditional craftsmanship and the demands of larger-scale projects.

Moving into subcontracting, I worked with several respected firms, each adding to my skill set:

• Ekins (Hertford): Residential & commercial building projects
• Patterson Homes: Industrial conversions & new builds
• Baxter & King: Residential extensions & loft conversions
• Acrabuild: Executive homes & barn conversions
• Meadow Joinery: Installation of purpose-made joinery
• Alexander Construction: Foreman on a commercial redevelopment, converting historic wool sheds into luxury waterfront apartments in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand
• Barford Joinery: Installation of fully finished purpose made joinery

These experiences gave me the knowledge and craftsmanship needed to launch WS Staff, where I now focus on high-quality renovations and bespoke building projects.
